Fourth Time is the Charm?

As if getting dumped wasn’t already bad enough, imagine getting dumped two times on national television. Welcome to the life of ABC’s newest bachelor, Nick Viall.

Nick first made his appearance in 2014 on Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette”. On the series finale, Nick was one of the final two men vying for Andi’s affection. Unfortunately, Nick was sent home and Andi accepted a proposal from contestant Josh Murray.

After each season finale, there is a special episode titled “After the Final Rose” where contestants see each other for the first time since filming ended. Nick, finally being able to confront Andi and discuss where their relationship went wrong, took matters into his own hands. He literally calls out Andi about having sex with him in the fantasy suite (yikes). Watch it here.

Nick didn’t stop there. He decides to give love another chance, by showing up halfway through Katlyn Bristowe’s season. Nick once again makes it to the final two. This time, Katlyn allows him to pull out the engagement ring and start to get on one knee before she forces him to stand back up (double yikes). Watch it here.

Just when we thought Nick was through with the Bachelor series, he makes an appearance on “Bachelor in Paradise”, a spinoff of “The Bachelor”. Poor, poor Nick thinks he has found love with Amanda, until Josh Murray comes in and steals her away. That’s right, the same man who won over Andi’s heart.

Reality television never lets me down and ABC announced Nick as the newest bachelor last week on the season finale of “Bachelor in Paradise”. Will Nick find love? Will this be “the most dramatic season yet”? Only time will tell. Set your DVR’s because this is going to get interesting.

Working Woman

This summer was no ordinary summer. I did not get to lounge in the pool and vacation in tropical locations like most of my peers. Instead, this summer was full of work and responsibility. My days were filled with writing, editing and creating various communication plans for the Ohio Department of Education.

As an intern in the communications and outreach department, I was asked to find a way to better reach high school students. In order to better reach students, I assisted with the launch of the official Instagram account for the Ohio Department of Education (@oheducation). The main focus of ODE’s Instagram is to share top-line department news, superintendent visits, parent tips and more with photos and infographics. Launching the Instagram account for the Ohio Department of Education was by far, my favorite project.

Working at the Ohio Department of Education was an extremely rewarding experience. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by a team of 13 professionals with unbelievable expertise and knowledge in the public relations and communications field.
