- First impressions are everything so make a good one!
- Take chances and get involved! You never know where an opportunity can take you.
- Failure is inevitable. Learn from it and move on.
- Make time for your family. You know you miss them.
- Finding a balance between work and play is crucial.
- It is OK to cry. Sometimes it is exactly what you need and you will feel so much better afterward.
- Go to class and take notes.
- A few bad grades are not the end of the world.
- Stay updated with the news.
- Use a planner. It is almost impossible to keep everything straight in your head.
- Leggings are pants. This is not up for discussion.
- Treat yourself and buy that purse you have been eyeing.
- Always do something fun for spring break.
- Do not throw yourself at a boy. Trust me, “if he cared, he’d call”
- Once a cheater, always a cheater.
- PDA is never cute.
- Always respect yourself.
- Make sure to charge your phone before you go out.
- You can never take too many pictures.
- Do not post anything and everything you think or care about on social media. No one cares, except maybe your mom and grandma.
- DO NOT POST PICTURES WITH ALCOHOL. Can you say unprofessional?
- Taco Bell is great, but try to limit how much you eat out.
- The freshman 15 is real.
- Manage your money. There is nothing worse than seeing you only have $8.51 in your bank account.
- Your mom was always right, and always will be. *sigh*

As I officially start my senior
year, I can’t believe how fast my time has gone at Ohio Northern University. Looking
back there are some things I wish I would have known or realized sooner. I hope
